Hayley's Baby Shower

We are t-minus 2 weeks away from "meeting" our new niece! I put meeting in quotations because we won't actually meet her for quite a while. She will be born in Germany and I will have to get my fill of her through pictures and webcam. This will be very hard for me because one of the greatest joys in my life is being an aunt. I love my 3 nephews and 2 neices with all my heart! I have been lucky with the boys being around alot for me to be a big part of their life. This will not be the case for my newest neice and that makes me sad. But when they move back to the states I will make up for lost time :)

Now last weekend we had the coolest baby shower for Hayley. She joined us via Skype for the whole shower. We all got to visit with her and see her growing belly and that was priceless. The grandmas opened all the gifts and I held them up one by one for Hayley to see. It could not have been a better shower.

This is Hayley's family with her on the tv.

And this is all the hostesses with Hayley.

Walker stopped by before the shower and got to see his surrogate "Granny" that he hadn't seen in quite a while and that was a nice treat.

Allie Reese is due to arrive on May 2nd so I will be anxiously awaiting pictures of her birth!Sherry will be there for a few weeks and has promised to keep me up to date on the pictures ;)

Emma Grace turns 3

One of my besties daughters had her 3rd birthday party a couple of weeks ago. It was a fabulous Hello Kitty party. Leslie made the most adorable cake that was also delicious!

Isn't she the most precious little girl???

Walker enjoyed hanging with his girls from school. This is Emma, Bethany, and Kaelynn. They are going to be some real trouble for Walker in the future ;)
Happy Birthday Emma Grace! We love you!

Everyone needs days like these...

Last weekend we took Walker to the park for the first time with his bike. He doesn't get to ride it very much at our house because we don't have any concrete and the gravel is to hard for him to pedal on.

Of course we had to stop off at the swings since it was such a gorgeous day out.

Isn't this the sweetest? His Daddy will always be there to catch him when he falls. Awww.

I have officially been Bitten/Smitten

This is what I have been up to lately. I watched the movie "Twilight" two weeks ago and I have not quit obsessing about it since. I immediately went out and bought all 4 of the books from the series and I am currently on the 2nd one. These are no short books either, they average over 500 pages! I can't quit! If I start reading when I go to bed Wes will beg me to turn the light off so he can go to sleep, in which case I just take my book and my pillow and go sleep on the couch! It is ridiculous how this story has consumed me! I am hoping that once I have read all 4 books I will feel "at peace" with the story and be able to move on! Ha!
Very much so looking forward to when the 2nd movie "New Moon" comes out in November! I will be at the first showing I'm sure ;)
Now on to what Wes and Walker have been doing since I have started this obsession.
They went to Plano last weekend for a Rangers game at the Minor League park in Frisco. They had really good seats and had an autograph session before, so Walker loved it! This was his very first professional game to watch.
I sent Wes with the camera so that he could document this experience for Walker. He did okay with the picture taking, but I would have taken a lot more ;)

Walker apparently really loved the Minor League teams mascot.

Walker with his beloved Oma!

And this would be Walker and some Texas Ranger that I do not know (Don't tell Wes that) ;)

Whoa Black Betty bambalam...

Wes and I enjoyed our mini-vacation to the metroplex. We spent money like it was going out of style and finally ran out and had to come home ;0 Isn't that the responsible thing to do with your tax return? Just kidding we saved some of it.

Now on to the main reason we went to Dallas, our new puppy!
Meet Betty, our new Scottish Terrier! She is an adorable little thing that has already brought so much joy to our home. Here is a picture of our new little family!

Walker takes Betty wherever he goes. His room, his playroom, the bathroom, there is nowhere that Betty doesn't go. He walks her up and down the dirt road to our house and it is the cutest thing I have ever seen! They are going to be best friends.

Just a boy and his dog...

My challenging little boy :)

Just one picture today of my two favorite guys. I realized that I have been filling my blog with pictures of Kenzie and Khloe and not very many of my child! I will try to do better about that. It's just that the girls let me take their picture and Walker runs off or looks away or just flat out won't let me.
Anywho, Walker has been very "challenging" lately. Not that I'm complaining but he tests me every single day! His two favorite words are "what" and "why". Every single thing I say he says "what'' and then I have to repeat myself and I know he is not hard of hearing. And I know that every 3 year old is going to ask "why'' on every little thing but in the moment it can be quite annoying.
It's easy to blog about it later and think that it was cute and even endearing, but when he is asking 50 times ''why'' I am doing something I tend to lose my patience. ;)
There will be lots of new pics next week as we are getting an addition to our family. Wes and I are getting a puppy for Walker in Dallas this weekend! We are so excited! Our beloved Roxy died when Walker was 10 months old and we have just now felt the need to get another pet. We have already picked one out and we are picking her up on Sunday! She is a Scottish Terrier. And I think we will name her Phoebe, unless her face doesn't look like a Phoebe and then I might change it.
Yall can meet her next week!
Wes and I are having a weekend away in Dallas without Walker to do some shopping and just spend some alone time so I will add my pictures next time!

Shelby's 3rd Birthday

Today is Walker's very best friend's birthday and yesterday we attended her party. This one of Walker, Blayne, and Shelby reminds us of Bo, Duke, and Daisy from the Dukes of Hazzard. :)

She got a brand new Shelby Mustang from her parents and they had quite a time driving this thing around the yard. I think Shelby looks hilarious in between these two boys in her car, maybe a sneak peek of what is to come in life for these 3. ;)

Shelby is one of the funniest little girls I have ever been around!

This one is so sweet with Walker's sweet grin and Shelby's beautiful blonde hair blowing in the wind!

So young and so innocent :)

Katie's birthday

We celebrated my sister's 23rd birthday last weekend out at the Ranch and boy was it a fun time! Katie's in-laws made us fajitas with all the fixins.

These are the only pictures I got from the celebration and they are horrible quality pictures, but my sweet Nannie cannot be around a flash so we had to make do.

Khloe was our centerpiece. We love to sit her in her Bumbo in the middle of the table and just let her entertain us!

And these two are double trouble. I mean it, they cannot be trusted when they get together and get a couple of drinks in them. Thick as thieves!

Happy Birthday little sis! Love you and hope this year is the best ever!

A place to rest my head...

When we first moved into this house I was pregnant with Walker. I was not really in the mood for decorating, except for the nursery. :) Over the last 3 years I have started, room by room, doing makeovers. We had the entire house painted white when we moved in, except for the kitchen and the nursery.

Now this house has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, so that was a lot of boring white walls. I finally got Wes talked into helping me paint our bedroom, which would be a huge job. Our bedroom is bigger than our living room! It has built-ins that we would also have to paint around.

It has built-ins that we would also have to paint around.

I am freaking IN LOVE with my new green bedroom! It has truly changed the way we feel when we walk into this room. It is so relaxing, even though it is a pretty bright shade of green.
I'm so thankful that Wes lets me do pretty much whatever I want in the decorating department. This project took us all weekend, and surprisingly we did not argue one time! Yay! That never happens when we take on projects together.
Anyway, just wanted to show yall pictures of my fabulous new bedroom! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do ;)

Yet again 25 Random Things about Yours Truly

So you guys have probably already seen this type of "survey" circulating on Facebook, but I found it to be interesting enough to blog about. It is very challenging to sit down and try to think of 25 random things about yourself, but once you get going they just flow right out of your brain.
Well, I really enjoy reading what other people have to say about themselves and I hope that you enjoy mine as well, and if you feel up to it, try to do it yourself. :)

1. I am the most protective sister on the planet, although Katie and Wesley would call me overbearing.

2. I want a dog soooo bad!

3. I want another child sooooo bad!

4. I don't understand why so many years you try to prevent pregnancy and then when you really want it to happen, it doesn't. :(

5. I am a 100% Republican, but I have embraced President Obama and am hopeful for what he will do for our nation.

6. I wish that we went to church, but every Sunday morning rolls around and we don't get out of bed.

7. Wes irritates, frustrates, and plain pisses me off more than anyone I have ever known, but I love him anyway.

8. I wish that I would not have had a certain someone in my wedding. If you know me you know why. She could have ruined it.

9. My dad seriously needs to cut me off of his credit card, but don't tell him that. ;)

10. I have not had a drink in 5 years. (of alcohol)

11. I wish I could say the same for Wes. ;)

12. I am so thankful that Wes and I have stayed together for so long. And I am thankful that we experienced life outside of Snyder before we decided to settle down here. We had some wild and crazy years in college, even though we were married, and I wouldn't change them for the world.

13. I wish that I would have taken more pictures in high school and college. You don't realize then that you are making memories that you want to keep forever.

14. I am truly shocked that we have a red-headed child, and that he is still red-headed at 3. We thought for sure it would be blonde by now.

15. I wish that my best friend would realize what a mistake she is making and cut her losses. And then call me.

16. I am disappointed that I wasted so much of my Dad's hard-earned money in college and I have nothing but some hazy, yet happy memories to show for it.

17. I wish that I could do what Brad Paisley sings about, which is writing a letter to myself at 17. Oh the things I have learned.

18. I wish that we were rich and I could fly to Germany anytime I wanted to see Clint, Hayley, and the boys, and my soon-to-be neice. I miss them something fierce.

19. I wish that Wes and I would have travelled more before we had Walker.

20. I wish that I didn't have thyroid problems that caused me to have a nervous breakdown that changed my life forever at the young age of 21.

21. I am an avid Red Raider and I will not wear anything even remotely orange and I hate that my car is maroon.

22. If Walker decides to go to college where they where orange or maroon, I will not pay for it.

23. I have tried, and failed, to go back to college like 4 times and I'm only 26 years old.

24. I have just learned that I have early stages of rheumatoid arthritis in my hands and again I am only 26 years old.

25. I have so many things I should be doing besides writing 25 things about myself. ;)
